Erin & Joe celebrated five years together (one of many anniversary milestones) a few weeks ago, and we celebrated with an anniversary session in some gorgeous fields outside of Atlanta in Lithonia. Erin is a fantastic and extremely talented wedding hair and makeup artist, so it made sense for her to do her own. The thick lace Jaclyn Jordan wedding gown was so amazing, and added such a luxurious texture to the photos.
Her anniversary bouquet was made with roses and protea (my new favorite flower!) which matched Joe’s amazing boutonnière. The handcrafted vow book was created with Erin and Joe’s original vows, which was an heartfelt homage to their wedding day, by Morphosis Studio. We finished off the evening with a champagne toast and a small spread of peach pie, lemon cookies, and the ever-so-fitting wedding cookies.
The whole time I think I was humming this song to myself…
“It’s a little bit funny, this feeling inside
I’m not one of those who can easily hide, I
Don’t have much money but boy, if I did
I’d buy a big house where we both could liveIf I was a sculptor but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show
Oh, I know it’s not much but it’s the best I can do
My gift is my song
And this one’s for youAnd you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it’s done
I hope you don’t mind
I hope you don’t mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you’re in the world” — Elton John, Your Song
