Set in gorgeous Monroe, Georgia, this classic southern estate wedding was set in the beautiful country on the groom’s family’s land that has been passed down for generations.
Paighton and Lane met in high school, but didn’t start dating until well after they graduated. When they reconnected, it was true love at its finest. When we met, I knew they were the coolest (I mean, we met for tacos and beer, so…) and their wedding was something out of my fine-art-photographer dreams.
A classic, clean palette of cornflower blues and neutrals, amazing florals, and a gown that was fit for a queen made this wedding one of my absolute favorites to photograph to date. Paighton found her perfect gown and veil match at Kelly’s Closet in Atlanta and everything was extremely well-coordinated by Jane of Georgia Grace Weddings. The families created a beautiful wooden arch specifically for the wedding, adorned with greenery and beautiful white florals to accent the ceremony site. We fought the threat of rain, and the newlyweds worked with me through the intense Georgia summer heat to create some beautiful portraits before the reception.
Lane’s family arranged for a special guest to make an appearance at the reception: Hairy Dawg!
Paighton and Lane’s wedding was so much fun, and I’ve never met two people who compliment each other better. Congrats you two!
