Megan is an answer to my boudoir prayers.
While attending the Gather and Grow workshop, we were introduced to Megan, who was our last minute model savior. Not only was she just a joy to shoot, but she has an amazing Irish accent (she’s from Dublin) which made things all the more awesome.
I love neutral colors and European style architecture, and it’s harder to find in Atlanta. I love the style of French and Italian chateaus and villas, the beautiful textures and sculptures, and the neutral tones that photograph so beautifully. They help really create timeless, classic images. Alder Manor also known as the W. B. Thompson Mansion was built in a Renaissance revival architectural style, which is of course why I was all over this gorgeous manor in Yonkers. (Fun fact, this is also where part of A Beautiful Mind and Mona Lisa Smile were filmed)
“She wasn’t doing a thing that I could see, except standing there leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together.”
—J. D. Salinger, A Girl I Knew
Megan manages to be sultry, feminine, and commanding while being so incredibly soft and beautiful. This is why I love boudoir. There is nothing more beautiful and sexy than a woman in her own skin.
